Who’s behind the books
BooklyBot makes personalised storybooks starring the actual small person you know. We are, essentially, a book factory run by one robot who has read rather a lot and owns rather too many crayons.
How this started
Once upon a time
Every child is already the hero of something — the bike ride, the lost puppy, the dragon under the bed. The trouble is that the shop-bought books are always about some other child. So we set out to fix the name on the cover.
And then
We handed one very patient robot a library, a box of crayons and one rule: put the child at the centre and never, ever be boring. It reads the details, dreams up the pictures, and colours inside the lines. Mostly.
Happily ever after
A few minutes later, a proper illustrated storybook exists that did not exist before — starring your little legend, printed on real paper, and posted to your door.
How a book gets made
A name, an age, a favourite thing, the kind of tale you fancy. The small stuff is where the magic hides.
It picks a writing style and an art style, dreams up the story, and illustrates every page around your hero.
You see the whole book before anything is printed. Tweak a page, swap the cover, or send it back for another go.
Approved books are printed properly, bound, and delivered — free worldwide — to land on your doormat.
No two books come out the same. That’s rather the point.
What we believe
Not a sidekick, not a stock illustration. The story bends around your child, start to finish.
Screens are fine. But a book you can hold, dog-ear and read at bedtime is a different kind of keepsake.
Your photo is never stored — it's used once to draw the character, then gone. First names only, never a photo-real likeness, and your child's details are never sold or shared.
